Template:Same page other wikis/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template is meant to link conveniently (I hope) to pages with the exact same name on different wikis.

For example,

{{same page other wikis|wiktionary|commons|wikisource}}

yields:

The main parameters should be valid prefixes to wikilink to the other wikis, such as in [[commons:Main Page]]. The full-length prefix is probably best. At least one is required, and all are unnamed (numeric) parameters.

One named parameter "message" adds a text at the end of the template. Two spaces are added automatically before the message, but if a line break is desired it must be specified in the message.

{{same page other wikis|es|de|wikiversity|message=<br />(I haven't actually transwikied these yet)}}

Other parameter types may be added (for example, to spell out "es" and other such codes) but should be given as named parameters. With so many parameters passed the logic to sort out which is who would get overwhelming otherwise.
