Template:Task force/doc
Appearance
This is a documentation subpage for Template:Task force. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Task force}} ). |
This page is not a policy or guideline, merely a collection of tips, suggestions, observations, and the like. For policy on Task Forces, ask your parent WikiProject; they each have different policies. |
Usage
[edit]This template is not necessarily the template used by all WikiProjects; it's either something for the parent project to use to get started quickly, or for projects to modify for their own use.
Example use
[edit]{{subst:Task force
|taskforce = American Calvinist Biography # This is the name of the task force
|taskforce-label = american-calvinist-biography
|projectname1 = WikiProject Calvinism # This is the name of the project whose parent page the task force lives under, without the "Wikipedia:" part
|projectname2 = WikiProject Biography # This is the name of the /second/ project, without the "Wikipedia:" part
|projectnamelast = WikiProject America # This is the name of the /last/ project, without the "Wikipedia:" part
}}
If there's only one project, use projectname1. You'll note that the example above doesn't use projectname3. If there are 2 or more, projectnamelast should always be used for the last one, and the others should be filled in in numerical order.
Blank usage
[edit]{{subst:Task force
|taskforce =
|taskforce-label =
|projectname1 =
|projectname2 =
|projectname3 =
|projectnamelast =
}}
Please note that there are HTML comments that will be included in this template, giving a little additional information when editing.
Obviously, you should use subst: when using this to create a task force.
