This template is used to create by-decade categories for sports in one of the insular areas of the United States,
e.g. Category:1990s in Guamanian sports.
Adds portal box, category explanation, navbox, and parent categories:
Usage
[edit]{{SportsDecadeCatUSinsularArea}}
No parameters are needed. The template parses the pagename, and extracts from it the year and name of the insular area.
Error-checking
[edit]The template checks that the page:
- is a category
- has a title of the form "YYY0s in Fooian sports"
- That "Fooian" is one of:
- Guamanian
- Puerto Rican
- Northern Mariana Islands
- United States Virgin Islands
If any of those conditions is not met, an error message is displayed and no other output is generated, but the page is added to a tracking category:
- Category:Errors reported by other category header templates (population: 3 pages)
