Template:User automated/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a userbox template for user pages, to show editing stats, particularly the approximate percentage of a users' edits that were automated by tools, as tracked by the Nonautomated edit counter tool at WMF Labs.

Usage

[edit]

Fill out the template on your userpage (or a subpage in your userspace), with an empty value, or any demo value, and preview it. Click on the "Verify" link, and wait a few minutes for the tool on the resulting page to do its work. It will then tell you your automated edit percentage. Fill that number into the template as the real value of the first parameter, add the date if you want, then save the page.

Parameters

[edit]
  • |1= or first unnamed parameter – required – a number (without the "%" sign) between 0 and 100, the calculated percentage of your automated edits. Template will display an error if this parameter is omitted or an invalid value is given.
  • |date= or |updated= – optional – the date (in whatever format you like) of the last time you checked, e.g. |date=September 24, 2024 or |date=2024-09, etc. It will be displayed as "...automated with tools, as of {{{date}}}".
