Template:Year in the environment category header
To create a category of the form "Category:YYYY in the environment", e.g. Category:1824 in the environment.

- Range of years
Categories for individual years prior to the 19th century should not be created since they would not be populated with many articles. Categories by decade or century may be a better alternative.
