Testing

Best tested in Special:ExpandTemplates with a ContextTitle, or in Preview mode at an article Talk page. E.g., add {{Find sources/top proj}} to the top of the page, and look for the project indicator in preview mode, and verify that it corresponds to the project on the page. To facilitate testing so we could use Special:ExpandTemplates instead, add an article name param; follow how {{Find sources/proj list}} does it. Mathglot (talk) 17:58, 30 October 2021 (UTC)

Handling redirects

The detection code needs to check for certain popular redirects. This was raised at Template talk:Find sources#Bug reports (see Missing redirect detection bug).

In the case of WikiProject Medicine, there are over a dozen redirects to it, but not all of them are in use on article Talk pages. A couple that are, include Template:WPMED (over 500), and Template:WP Medicine (240). The others can probably be adjusted on the handful of Talk pages that use them to alter the wikicode to use the main template name instead, but these two at least should be handled in the autodetection code.
