{{editprotected}} Per consensus decided during the transformation of this infobox, most road articles should not include a picture in the infobox. Exceptions were made in order to appease editors in other countries when the infobox was globalized. However, as a result of that, images can be placed in Canadian road article infoboxen, which they shouldn't.

I disagree. In some cases a photo does work best in the infobox. I'd support Canada following the international model. - SimonP (talk) 18:26, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Then by all means start a new thread at Template talk:Infobox road and try to gain a new consensus. This was established months ago and its accidental that the coding is not this way already. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 18:29, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Canada was never mentioned in the images discussion. While it might surprise some folk, Canada is actually a separate country from the United States and US rules shouldn't by default apply to Canada. - SimonP (talk) 18:34, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Its in the merger discussion. When Jeni complained to the point that is was enabled specifically for other countries SIMPLY to get this infobox globalized. Consistency is nice; Canada isn't some special child that deserves extra attention (though based on the way its project is set up, one would tend to disagree), and I'd like to keep the current consensus. You're beginning to hound me by following me around everywhere. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 18:37, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done: as an original participant of the discussion I can confirm that that was how it was intended. --Rschen7754 18:50, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
