Template talk:Mozilla projects
I wonder how is the list ordered. It is neither in alphabetical order nor in chronological order of release nor grouped togethered according to each product's nature... --John Seward 15:18, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- Adopted ordering from the official project page, with re-ordering of the categories. --John Seward 15:09, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Penelope
[edit]From the Penelope page, it seems that it is a Qualcomm product, not a Mozilla product. Similarly, Netscape is an AOL product, even though it is based on Mozilla Firefox. It seems to me that Penelope should not be on a list of Mozilla software. On the other hand, it seems like Mozilla developers are collaborating with Qualcomm on the project, so maybe it could be considered a Mozilla product. Does someone have good, solid information one way or the other? -- Schapel 05:05, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Penelope is listed on the official mozilla.org projects list. IMHO this warrants its place on this template. --John Seward 14:19, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. -- Schapel 14:32, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Decommissioned Projects
[edit]I think it would be useful to include older Mozilla projects (now defunct), such as the Mozilla Calendar Project and the Mozilla Application Suite. These include the Mozilla Projects template on their pages, shouldn't they be listed under an "old projects" section? Although they're not actually listed as projects anymore they should be listed for historical reasons. DarkJedi613 16:59, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Requested move
[edit]Template:Mozilla Software → Template:Mozilla projects — Template also includes non-software (eg XUL. "Projects" is a more appropriate description than "Software". The same word is also used on the official mozilla.org projects list, on which this template is based. John Seward 04:04, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
