Separated from body

[edit]

The initial statement "separated from her diving buddy", repeated by the media, is not reflecting well the reality. The fact is, Agnes was diving solo, "It has emerged that Ms Milowka was solo diving last Sunday." as quoted by The Sydney Morning Herald on 5 March 2011, and other sources later. I would argue to replace that sentence by something else. Cm224 4:00, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

  • I stand corrected. Still the parallel to the film script is pretty superficial (Milowka's death did occur while cave diving, but no natural disaster, no serial killer). Also, referring to the film as "James Cameron's" is just Hollywood hype (he had no creative involvement). If you have no objection, I'll incorporate these points. § If you were a friend of Milowka's let me express my sympathy. She sounds like a very special person. --Isaac Rabinovitch (talk) 07:06, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank for warm words. I am close to her... regardless, I am keen to keep the note neutral, but somehow interesting. J.Cameron name is that keyword that may attract people to read a full article, that is what we want ;-) I have a good and verifiable knowledge about the entire story. His involvement was more than just executive producer. Following your notes, maybe we just leave "Sanctum" - should be fair and good enough? The parallels to the movie are interesting, as people are questioning the choices and behavior in the movie as unreal. She did just that, leaving a tank behind to go through. I read somewhere "... Her expertise seen her as a stunt in Sanctum ..." maybe that will do? --Cm224 08:06, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • That sounds about right. I wouldn't worry too much about engaging people's interest; her photo by itself is pretty engaging. What would really be helpful is if her biographical article were in better shape. I don't have the resources to research it properly, but if you could provide the sources, I'd be glad to contribute actual writing. Isaac Rabinovitch (talk) 03:27, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • (a) Please feel free to make suggested changes in the POTD, I trust you may do a better one. (b) Regarding the article, I am actually sharing your feelings about "the better shape"; especially with grammar, vocabulary and narrative flow. The basic milestones are pretty much there, including the references. I wouldn't add more at this stage. I can provide answers to most of the possible questions, just not sure what you may be looking for. Happy to help...--Cm224 03:34, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
