bad instructions[edit]

The new instructions that you suggest to follow make no earthly sense. For instance, it says don't add ture false but the instructions indicated {{Sourcecheck|checked=true|needhelp=helped}}. So it says fill in a parameter that is no longer required and yet there's no way now to know if it's been checked since the bot applies it as {{Sourcecheck|needhelp=}} and based on the suggested instructions we should just leave it. We can't indicate that we've been helped since that's a request for help. So could someone please clean up the instructions and this FAQ so we know exactltly what to do? I think we should still add checked=true, otherwise no one will know if anyone checked and it was OK. Many archives are not OK, so don't assume it is. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:39, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
