Four versions of this template have been created. One for those currently attending, another for alumni, a third for those who did not attend but are supporters, and a fourth for those who would rather not specify or have not updated their user pages to reflect the change.

This hook 'em image was created specifically for use in this template. I wouldn't say that the hook 'em horns hand sign is restricted to athletic usage. It is used in many contexts and does truly represent the university to many of those unfamiliar with its other aspects. Additionally, the tower image is crammed into the box. The use of the hook 'em image gives a clear picture of what we are trying to represent with a clear image that was created specifically for this purpose. — Scm83xhook 'em 00:27, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
