With regards to this template: I assume it was made on a "you never know" basis? -- Egil 16:27, 31 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm... I missed the deletion. I wonder if it was a vandalism votes for deletion. Also there is User_tlh-N vs. User_tlh. User_tlh means you speak Klingon. User_tlh-N means your parents raised you with Klingon as a your first language -- yes, some parents actually do and I wish more would. DyslexicEditor 13:32, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect translation

[edit]

No big deal, but the sentence "tlhIngan Hol lujatlh lo'wI'pu'vam" is translated here as "This user speaks Klingon," when in fact it means "These users speak Klingon." (I know, I'm a nerd.) If you want it to mean "This user speaks Klingon," you should change it to "tlhIngan Hol jatlh lo'wI'vam." --Runner5k 21:48, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it was "these users" because it's a category link, but now that you mention it, "this user" is probably more appropriate. I'll change it. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 21:53, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the speedy response. It seemed kind of ironic that a userbox about someone's ability to use a language had an inaccurate translation, but I can see how being a category link could have caused that to happen. Thanks again. --Runner5k 22:05, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I actually own a copy of the Klingon Dictionary, but I haven't had time to study it enough to pick up on that error. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 22:09, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
