The stationing of USS Orion (AS-18) states that "Into 1970 she services the conventional and nuclear powered ships of that squadron from the Destroyer/Submarine Piers at Norfolk." The next entry states that she changed home port to Italy until 1993.

I was stationed aboard her as an Electrician's Mate Fireman from 1979 to 1981, and she was not servicing the First Fleet out of Norfolk at that time; She was moored at Charleston Naval Base, servicing fast attack subs. I just ran across a Master Chief Petty Officer stationed aboard her for three years prior to 1979, and he was also in Charleston during his tour aboard her.

Murray River paddlesteamers (Australia)[edit]

I have had very little success editing the list of survivors. Now certain names don't display. The names aren't lost: they do show in the editing window. Instead, they are displayed as 'Template'.

Certain were shown as PS when they are not steam. Some survivors were built as steam but were converted to diesel decades ago: Avoca, Mayflower

I have added two survivors which had been missed, and fixed two dates.

I haven't tried to insert the main reference: Parsons 'Ships of the inland rivers'. Gould Books. 3rd ed. 1996. It is more complete than the Wikipedia list.
