TEO Group is a part of TeliaSonera Group, which provides telecommunication services in the Nordic and Baltic countries, the emerging markets of Eurasia, including Russia and Turkey, and in Spain.

Having started its operations as a state enterprise in 1992 as Lietuvos Telekomas, in 1998 the company was privatised by a consortium of Swedish Telia AB and Finnish Sonera Oy, Amber Teleholding A/S. The consortium acquired 60% of the company's shares. Now TeliaSonera owns more than 88% of the shares. TEO LT, AB shares are traded on NASDAQ OMX Vilnius stock exchange.

In 2006, the company's name was changed from AB Lietuvos Telekomas to TEO LT, AB.

Today, TEO is a leader in the Internet, data communication, and fixed-line telephony markets.

Since 2006, TEO has been providing digital interactive television services, based on IP technology (IPTV), and digital terrestrial television services since 2008.

The TEO corporate brand comprises voice, Internet, television, data communication, and IT services. These activities have four secondary brands: VOX – voice services for residents, ZEBRA – Internet services for residents, GALA – digital television, and TEO VERSLAS for businesses.

TEO subsidiary UAB Lintel is the largest, most advanced call center in Lithuania.

Another subsidiary, UAB Baltic Data Center, is a leading provider of data center and information system management services in the Baltic.

TEO seeks to be a socially responsible business, and supports the Communications History Museum in Kaunas.
