The Driver Era (stylized as THE DRIVER ERΛ) is an alternative musical duo that consists of brothers Rocky Lynch and Ross Lynch.[1][2]

History

2018–present: R5 to The Driver Era and Preacher Man

On March 1, 2018 R5's Instagram and Twitter handles were changed to The Driver Era and all of R5's previous posts were deleted. On March 2, 2018 it was stated that The Driver Era would be a band with brothers Ross and Rocky, when Ross posted a note via Instagram story.[3] On the same day as their social media changes, previews of their debut single "Preacher Man" were posted on Twitter and Instagram.[4]

On March 16, 2018 The Driver Era released "Preacher Man", along with its video a few weeks later.

On May 25, 2018 The Driver Era released two special remixed of "Preacher Man".

On August 24, 2018 The Driver Era released a new single, "Afterglow".

On October 26, 2018 The Driver Era released a new single, "Low ", which got a special remix a few months later.

On March 29, 2019 The Driver Era released a new single, "Feel You Now", followed by its video a few weeks later.

On April 26, 2019 The Driver Era released a new single, "Welcome to the End of your Life", followed by its video a few weeks later .

On June 13, 2019 The Driver Era released their new music video for "Low" & announced their debut album, titled "X" with 10 tracks, out on June 28. More songs are coming in the future, they are currently working on a 2nd album & a new music video.[5][6]
