The Good Liar is an upcoming thriller film directed by Bill Condon and written by Jeffrey Hatcher based on the novel by Nicholas Searle. It stars Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren and will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Premise

A seasoned conman finds himself growing to care for the woman he orchestrated his latest scheme against after meeting her online.

Cast

Production

In March 2018, it was announced that Bill Condon would be directing the film, with Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren cast in the leading roles.[1][2] In April 2018, Russell Tovey and Jim Carter joined the cast.[3]

Principal production commenced on April 23, 2018, in London, England. The film was also shot in Berlin, Germany.[4]
