The ITM Fishing Show or The Ultimate Fishing Show is a New Zealand television program about extreme sports fishing. It features stunt fisherman Matt Watson who catches game fish such as marlin in unusual ways such as from jet ski and surfboard. After practising for 11 months, he was able to catch a black marlin by diving upon it from a helicopter,[1] an exploit which has led to him being styled Gannet Man, after the diving seabird.[2]

The show started as a low budget production in Northland in New Zealand but has now been picked up by the Discovery and Animal Planet channels and will be broadcast in the USA in October 2009. Excerpts from the show have been a hit on YouTube where David Letterman learnt of it. When interviewed on The Late Show, Matt said, "...doing my job, you need balls".[3]
