Theretra viridis is a moth of the family Sphingidae. It is known from São Tomé and Príncipe. The species was described in 1992, it was first discovered in the area of Bombaim. Likely once founded in many parts of either the south or the whole island, today they are founded in the south of the island of São Tomé mainly away from agricultural areas.

The wingspan is about 40 mm. The forewing upperside ground colour is dark green. The fifth postmedian line is strongly developed and dentate on the veins, each vein highlighted by a short pale streak immediately basal to the line.
