Timothy Cain, often credited as Tim Cain, was the producer, lead programmer and one of the main designers of the computer game Fallout. He worked at Interplay for six years before founding Troika Games with Leonard Boyarsky and Jason D. Anderson. Under Troika, he helped design and program Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura and The Temple of Elemental Evil. In his last Troika project, before the company shutdown, he was the lead programmer on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.

For his work with these games, Tim Cain has become known as one of the most influential and successful developers of quality computer role-playing games, with the Fallout and Arcanum titles well received by die-hard fans of the genre.[citation needed]

With regards to his future, Tim Cain said

I am staying in the industry but keeping a much lower profile than I did at Troika. Instead of talking about making games or trying to convince people to play (or publish) my games, I am doing what makes me very happy - making games. [1]

Cain is currently working for NCsoft.
