Tinchy Stryder

Tinchy Stryder (real name Kwasi Danquah), is a British grime music artist.

He is of Ghanian origin and hails from the Bow (E3) area of East London. As well as being one of the genre's representative solo artists,[1] referred to by Rewind Magazine as the "Prince of Grime",[2][3] He is part of the group Ruff Sqwad.

Stryder signed to independent label Takeover Entertainment during 2006. He also released two solo mixtapes, "I’m Back U Know" and "Lost and Found", and joined Ruff Sqwad for "Guns & Roses 2".

Stryder's debut album Star In the Hood was released on 13 August 2007 on Takeover Entertainment.[4] A single "Breakaway" was released from the album, along with "Something About Your Smile", and "Mainstream Money" as a bonus track.

He also released an EP named Cloud 9 on the 21st April 2008, from which the songs "Sorry, U Are?" (feat. Chipmunk,) "Sick in the Head," "16 Writers" and "Thump" have all received heavy airplay and rotation on grime shows such as Logan Sama's Kiss 100 grime show 11pm-1am on Monday evenings.

He has since released two singles which do not feature on the Cloud 9 EP, titled "Breathe," and most recently, "Stryderman" (UK Singles Chart #73).

The track "Mainstream Money" was featured on an episode of EastEnders in 2008.

One of his other Tracks off his debut album is called "Follow" which was featured in the movie Adulthood

On September 11 2008 it was revealed he will be featuring on Craig David's new single 'Where's Your Love' courtesy of Ice Cream Records and released on November 10 2008 and also, displaying the diversity of his collaborations, he appears on the track 'Princes' from the album Saint Dymphna by Gang Gang Dance.

His new single called "Take Me Back" featuring Taio Cruz was released on January 19 2009 and was a major hit following numerous plays on BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM and many other TV and radio stations. On January 18 the song entered the official UK Singles Charts at 39 on downloads alone, one day before its official release. The following week the single moved 36 places up to number 3, Stryder's highest position of his career so far in the singles charts. The following week it fell 1 place to number 4, but then moved back up to number 3 the following week. Number 1 with N-Dubz in the video but only Dappys (brap brap)vocals is coming out for a badaman release soon. This song is gonna be huge cuz
