Tipaza Longwave Transmitter is the facility of the Algerian Broadcasting Company for transmitting the French-speaking program on the longwave frequency 252 kHz. Tipaza Longwave Transmitter, which is situated near Tipaza at 36°33'58" N and 2°28'50" E has a transmission power of 1500 kW at day time and 750 kW at night time. It can be received well in nighttimes in Europe, especially then, when the transmitter on the same frequency situated at Clarkestown in Ireland is off-air. Tipaza Longwave Transmitter uses as antenna a 355 metres tall guyed mast, which is the second-tallest structure of Algeria.
