Toivo Ndjebela is the Editor-in-chief of Namibian Sun, a Namibian daily newspaper owned by Democratic Media Holdings along with an Afrikaans daily Republikein and German daily Allgemeine Zeitung. He replaces former editor Jan Poolman who joined The Namibian.[1]

Toivo is a well-established Namibian journalist. He has worked, among others as a deputy news editor at the state-owned newspaper New Era, at the tabloid newspaper Informante, and was appointed as the editor Namibian Sun in May 2012.

Education

He graduated in 2006 from the University of Namibia, During his student years he was a chief reporter for Campus Vision, and news editor and producer of UNAM Radio. He did his internship as a radio and television reporter at the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation. After obtaining his degree, Ndjebela completed a Foreign Reporting course at masters’ level at the University of Helsinki in 2007 and holds a Masters’ level certificate in Foreign Reporting.
