The Tokara Islands (吐噶喇列島 or トカラ列島, tokara rettō) is a group of islands in the northern part of the Nansei Islands (encompassing the Ryukyu islands), belonging to Toshima Village, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.

Main islands

The crater on the highest peak (Otake) in Nakanoshima. The stripe of the right of this photograph is ruin of the sulfur mining facilities.
