Trinity Independent School District is a public school district based in Trinity, Texas, a portion of the district extends into northern Walker County.

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[1]

General information

Trinity ISD is a public, K-12 school district located approximately 80 miles (130 km) northeast of Houston, Texas, and encompasses a geographic area of 142 square miles (370 km2). The district serves approximately 1597 students (as of Fall 2016), and shows a slow growth in enrollment over the past decade. The high school was rebuilt in 2006, and a second elementary school, Lansberry Elementary, was established in 2010.
