Ubomiri is a town located near Owerri, capital city of Imo State, in southeastern Nigeria. Ubomiri is made of nine villages: Egbeada, Amauburu, Umuabili, Obokpo, Umuocha, Ohuba ohum Ahama and Umuojinaka. Its neighboring towns are Akwakuma, Ifakala, Irete, Ohi and Mbieri.Amb. (Prof) Chinedu Asinu-Anosike of CONA Fame is from Mbieri. Ahama is the first son of Ubomiri. The current Eze (King ) is His Royal Highness Eze Emma Saint George Azunna Ekeh. He is from Umuajogba Amauburu Ishi ubomiri.
