Udaya Shumsher Rana (born in 1970)[1] is Nepal's CA member and the president of Nepal Tarun Dal (NTD) a sister organization of Nepali Congress party. He was also Vice chairperson of International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY).[1]

Rana is elected in the Constituent Assembly-2 member as the direct candidate of Nepali Congress in Constituency no 1 of Lalitpur district.

Uday Shamsher Rana plunged into politics in 1989 from Nepal Student Union.[2] He became a chief of NTD Lalitpur in 1998. He lost 2008 CA election from Lalitpur-1 where he won after six years.

Rana is the son of Sagar Shumsher Rana and Brinda Rana. Udaya Rana has studied in Cornell University of USA holds Master's Degree
