Ululudhvani
Appearance
Ululudhvani is a tradition in Bengal, Assam and Odisha, where during weddings and other festivals women produce a sound called 'Ululu'. It refers to festivity and prosperity. [1][2]
Origin
This practice has origin in customs and rituals of Ancient Middle-Easterners.[3] In Bengal this custom popularised by Arab Traders who traded in Ports of Bengal like Chittagong.
