CloseRMnac is a user script for page movers that assists in closing requested move surveys per WP:RMPMC using the {{RMpmc}} template.

Installation instructions[edit]

Put the line

{{subst:js|User:Sam Sailor/Scripts/CloseRMnac.js}}

in either your common JavaScript file or the JavaScript file of your current skin, save the page, and bypass your browser cache.

May 2018 note: The function importScript was deprecated in the July 2017 release of MediaWiki 1.29, and mw.loader is prefered.[1] But importScript is not obsolete and should still work, in case you prefer the old method of manually installing with {{subst:iusc|User:Sam Sailor/Scripts/CloseRMnac.js}} or using ScriptInstaller.

Usage[edit]

Prior experience with participation in RM discussions is, although maybe not a requirement to determine consensus, definitely not a bad thing, and a thorough understanding of Wikipedia:Requested moves/Closing instructions is a must before closing any RM surveys. Having closed some discussions manually before using this script is warmly recommended.

On the article talk page in question, open the Requested move [date month year] section in edit mode. From the "More ▼" menu at the top of your screen choose "Close RM". Enter the result of the survey at the first prompt and a rationale at the second.
