'Lost World' invites you to visit an unusual country - the territory of friendship, creativity and extraordinary discoveries. It is a cheerful and friendly country, whose inhabitants make unforgettable trips every day - traveling through time. The Lost World is a world of interesting adventures and mysterious transformations. Here, walking the roads of the past, you can not only see the life of our distant ancestors, but also participate in it! The picturesque hills of the high Don on the right bank represent the remains of the oldest mountain system on the territory of Eastern Europe. Privolnaya mixed herb steppe here is organically combined with forest tracts of river basins and beams. From the high hills of the right bank, there are rare beauty panoramas to the islands covered with greenery and the open spaces of Pridonie. The most beautiful of the Don islands - the uninhabited island 'Guest' gives the area a romantic - mysterious look. Opposite this island, on the shores of the shallow old Don, the 'Lost World' is located.

The path of history

On the Path of History, travelers make an exciting journey into the past. You will visit the villages of the Stone and Bronze Ages, visit the huts, sanctuaries and workshops of primitive people, get acquainted with military traditions in the house of friends, and in the ancient burial mound you will join the sacraments of rites and beliefs of our distant ancestors. Route of excursion - Cossack kuren (museum of archeology and ethnography) - Stone Age site (visit to three huts, sanctuary and workshop) - Bronze Age settlement (house, courtyard, smithy, cart, sanctuary) - burials inside the steppe mound (8 burials from bronze up to the Middle Ages) - climbing the mound, examining the stone statue - visiting the retinue house (architecture, interior, weapons, equipment). All objects are linked, illustrating the course of the historical process, but at the same time they are also independent museums, visually revealing the most important features of those or other historical periods.

Cossack village

Military affairs, economy, house-building, everyday life and social life of the Don Cossacks. Cossack village - a complex of buildings visited (fortress, kuren, mill, workshops, smithy), characteristic of the culture of the Don Cossacks, as well as a live interactive experience in the form of direct immersion of visitors in the life of the indigenous population of these places. The route of the excursion is the Cossack kuren - the courtyard (summer kitchen, household appliances) - smithy - workshops - well - crane - inspection of transport - mill - machine for making felt - Cossack field redoubt. Accompanied by a story about the military affairs and daily life of the Don Cossacks.

Military science

Visitors to the museum can themselves try out different types of historical weapons. Archery, throwing of spears, bases of bayonet battle, felling of vines, sword fights and sabers, art of fortification and defensive serf armament - feel like a warrior! In the course of the program, the visitor participates in the military affairs of the Don Cossacks and participates in the daily life of the Cossack farmstead. The program consists of two large blocks - life and military affairs of the Cossacks.

All exercises take place under the strict supervision of employees. A variant of the program with a Cossack meal is possible: - ears, fried fish with boiled potatoes and salad, Kulesh knot - buckwheat porridge with meat.
