Personal Life Samuel Aby was born to P. C Samuel and Rachel G Susan at Kollam district and brought up at Chemmad, Malappuram district, Kerala, India. His father's interest in different genre of music and films introduced him to the world of music and films in childhood. Completed his schooling from St. Paul's EMHSS, Thenhipalam and Holy Cross HSS, Cherpunkal. Samuel did his graduation in B. Tech, Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Thalassery under Cochin University of Science and Technology,Kerala and pursued post graduation in Machine Design from Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappally under Mahatma Gandhi university, Kerala. Samuel bagged first rank in M. Tech, Machine design. He married Angel Mary Joseph on 22 May 2017 and the couple has a baby boy Issac Aby Samuel born on 18 December 2018. The family resides at Edappally, Kochi.
Career Samuel started his journey into film music of his own and nothing came easy on his way. His wish to study sound engineering was a distant dream while he was pushed into engineering. While pursuing semester III of B. Tech, he was acquainted with music programming and started exploring of his own. Samuel did his experiments on college fests and kept on improving. He started working as a part time tutor at St. Mary's College, Thalassery for earning money to buy basic music programming gadgets. He even took private home tuitions after his daily college class schedule.
On 2013, he started approaching many music directors for assisting them and Prashant Pillai opened a door. But due to final year B. Tech project he was unable to join with Prashant Pillai and was replaced by Shankar Sharma who eventually turned into music director in malayalam films. Samuel Aby met Nidhin Raj Arol accidentally who was passionate in film editing and direction. They worked together in many short films, advertisements and also became the founders of Wolves Magic Entertainments. Later, Nidhin Raj Arol assisted Abhinav Sundar Nayak, Editor in malayalam and tamil movies and became independent editor for movie titled Manoharam.
On 2015, Samuel got an opportunity to assist Ratheesh Vega which was a turning point in his career. Vega taught him the technique of music production and on 2016 he became an independent music programmer and later migrated to Bengaluru. While pursuing semester IV of M.Tech, Samuel decided not to take engineering as the profession, but completed the course with first rank in university. He became one among the fastest music programmers and very well known for the rhythm arrangements. He was mostly inspired by renowned music programmer Marc D Muse, who works with A R Rahman.
On September 2018, Shafi Chemmad, well known production controller made a call to Samuel and informed a need of a song for the movie OP 160/18 Kakshi: Amminippilla starring Asif Ali, produced by Riju Rajan under Zarah Films. Dinjith Ayyathan, director and Sanilesh Shivan, writer was having specific requirements and references for the song while the shooting date was scheduled. Samuel Aby instantly produced the music, penned by Manu Manjith and a rough track was sung for the shooting purpose by Zia Ul Haq. Later he was given another song too by the director. Before the release of OP 160/18 Kakshi: Amminippilla he committed two more movies - Oru Malanadan Retro, directed by Soju Joshua and a project yet to announce officially.
