Tobias Conrad Lotter was a German publisher and engraver, who had married the daughter of the elder Matthäus Seutter's eldest daugher, and had developed into becoming his most producctive employee He had engraved many Seutters maps and eventually succeeded to the business in 1756, thus becoming a renowned cartographer in the eighteenth century
