I have been slightly active at Wikipedia over the last 15 years. I originally posted as Onatima but let that account lapse when the email address changed and I had been away for a long time. The moniker A Close Reader comes from my days as a graduate student and I hope typifies how I approach the research and writing projects I undertake. My interests are varied: English literature, American folk music, organic gardening, and general research of topics I have written about as a writer at the University of Texas at Arlington Library and as a freelance writer and journalist in the mid-1980s at the Belton Journal in Belton, Texas.
