I am Ailsa Boyd, an independent researcher in art, design, literature and culture historian with a particular interest in the long nineteenth century. I have been a research assistant in several major research projects at the University of Glasgow, a curator and gallery assistant at The Collins Gallery, University of Strathclyde.

I am currently writing a book on the literature and life of George Eliot, Henry James and Edith Wharton, and the architects they worked with: Owen Jones, Basil Champneys, Edward Prioloeau Warren, Ogden Codman.
