I'm the Public Relations Manager for UC Berkeley and a new Bay Area resident. My decade-long career in PR has been focused on consumer marketing. I'm now thrilled to work in higher education and proud to be a part of the most prestigious public research institution in the world.

After graduating from the University of Southern California, I began my professional experience in television research and syndication at DreamWorks SKG. I moved into programming and production at a start-up cable network called Fine Living, which was owned by Scripps Networks (HGTV, Food Network).

After five years in TV, I followed my passion for communications and media to Citizen Relations, developing my PR skills with clients across industries, including: children’s products and toys, technology, non-profit, sustainability, automotive, food, home appliances, fashion/retail and entertainment. After working as an account manager for brands such as Sony Electronics and Levi's, I continued as an account director at Golin Harris and led agency PR teams for Mattel and Dole, among other clients.

I have practiced yoga extensively since 1998, completing a 200-hour teacher training at YogaWorks before studying Yoga Therapy Rx at Loyola Marymount University and earning a certification under the mentorship of Larry Payne, Ph.D.

Conflict of Interest Statement

[edit]

I'm currently employed by the University of California, Berkeley. I will be working in good faith and will not be editing the main space of the encyclopedia directly on topics related to UC Berkeley. I will be working in my Sandbox and requesting input from the Wikipedia community on proposed changes to related topics. I will be seeking neutral editors to make changes or provide input. My edits will center around accuracy and neutrality as it relates to this institution. I am working with User:Eekiv to navigate the community guidelines for Conflict of Interest Editing and introduce myself to neutral parties. User:Eekiv will not be making any edits on my behalf or related to the project.

Planned Projects

[edit]

Robert_J._Birgeneau This article could be considered a Wikipedia:Coatrack with the nominal subject of Chancellor Emeritus Robert J. Birgeneau being used to discuss the tangentially related biased subject of protests on the UC Berkeley campus in 2011. Potential editing plans include flagging content for neutral point of view for further discussion in the Wikipedia community. Additional content directly related to Professor Birgeneau's physics career will also be proposed. I plan on reaching out to members of the WikiProject Biography/Science and academia working group and the WikiProject Physics' Biographies, Publications, and History (BPH) taskforce.
