I am Mark D. Hoover, an occupational health protection scientist. I chose ARECCfan as my username to highlight the Anticipate, Recognize, Evaluate, Control, and Confirm approach we have evolved to in the practice of occupational safety and health. In just about any undertaking it makes sense to Anticipate and Recognize Hazards, Evaluate Exposures, and Control and Confirm Protection from Risks. My career history has involved being a research scientist in the Respiratory Health Division at the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in Morgantown, WV (2000-2018), an aerosol scientist at Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute in Albuquerque, NM (1975-2000), and serving in the U.S. Army Security Agency (1970-1974). I am happy to collaborate.
