The Haines State Forest is an Alaska State Forest, established by the state Legislature in 1982, managed by the Forestry division of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. The forest is 286,000 acres and includes the watersheds of the Chilkoot, Chilkat and Ferebee Rivers.
