My name is ASNelson and I live in Indiana. I finished my MLS from IUPUI in 2012. Until I started working in a library, I never thought that I would get my MLS. I barely got my B.S.

I have been working in the library world for a while and I love it (most of the time). My first library job was in a “haunted” library. From 2005-2010 I was the Director of a small public library. I left that position to finish my MLS. It was just too difficult to work, go to school and try to have a life. I participated in a 'Wikipedia Project' for my SLIS S553 Public Library Management class for the fall of 2010 with Dr. Andrea Japzon.

I am currently doing the job search thing. Hopefully I will be able to find something in the library field. Working in small libraries in particular, Librarians tend to actually have two or three jobs, but only get paid for the one. I think I did everything from clean the bathrooms to file the annual Directors report for ISL.

Traveling makes me smile. I love to travel. If and when I have free time (and money) that is what I do. It has been a while since I have had the chance to go anywhere.
