New Articles About Goldsmith-Jones[edit]

This link goes directly to Goldsmith-jones' page on the Liberal Government's website. It has provided very useful for my project as I have been able to find many primary sources from here. [1]

This is Goldsmith-Jones' farewell speech to parliament, after her decision not to run for re-election in 2019. [2]

This article explains how Goldsmith-Jones, though a popular candidate in the Sea to Sky riding, has decided not to run for re-election in the 2019 campaign. It is useful in my project because it outlines specifically that this candidate will not be running again despite a succesful career in politics. [3]

This article expands on Goldsmiths-Jones' decision to step back as an MP, but will continue her work in politics as Parliamentary Secretary to The Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland in the upcoming years. She claims she feels the need to remain closer to her family and parents as they are growing elderly. [4]

Political Engagement[edit]

This news post from the Liberal Government Website is one that explains one of the many policies instituted by Goldsmith-Jones during her time as MP. Goldsmith-Jones called for an end to Open-Pen salmon farming, urging a transition to closed containment instead. [5]

This article is a speech given by Goldsmith-Jones on the importance of pricing carbon and choosing greener solutions to reduce carbon emissions in Canada. It is important to my project as it invokes a strong message sent by the Liberal party in the 2015-2019 campaign of searching for greener solutions for Canadians. [6]

The second national plan for Women, Peace and Security is launched with the help of Goldsmith-Jones in 2017. This article is very useful in showing the diverse projects Goldsmith-Jones worked on throughout her political career. [7]
