I am Abigael Cheruiyot, a molecular and cellular Biology PhD student at Washington University in Saint Louis, USA. I am from Eldoret, Kenya. I received my B.A from Colby College, a small liberal arts college in Maine. I am generally interested in cellular biology, but my current focus is in maintenance of genome integrity in relation to cancer. I and members of our lab focus on DNA damage and repair pathways, as well as Nonsense-mediated decay. Besides science, I like to run, dance to African pop music, travel, canoe or kayak, read good books.
