Pastor Adegboyega Talabi grew up in Lagos Nigeria. He attended Lagos Day Primary School Surulere where he obtained his primary school education. He went on to continue his high school education at Ikeja Grammar School, Ikeja Lagos.

He also attended Baptist Academy, Obanikoro Lagos where He completed two years Advanced Level Education before attending Yaba College of Technology in Lagos Nigeria and graduated with Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying (an equivalent of Bachelor in Applied Science, Q.S) in 1986.

He completed his National Youth Service Corps program at Kwara State Nigeria, and returned to Lagos to seek employment but latter emigrated to the United Sate of America with his wife in 1988 to pursue Master’s Degree Program but God has another plan. Consequently, he abandoned the master’s degree program to attend theological school in response to God’s calling at Moody Theological Seminary Chicago. As an immigrant, he began working day time, and continues to study in the evening program at the school. This in part help him in 1993 to lead a pioneering effort along with his wife Mabel in planting a church known as Christ Healing Evangelical Church, the first of the overseas branches of the church in the United State of America. He graduated from Moody Theological Seminary with Masters Degree in Ministry in May 2005 .

Ordained as a Pastor in 1995, by Apostle M.A. Bamidele (Spiritual Father),

Pastor Talabi is a dynamic preacher and teacher of God’s word. He has heart for transformation through Discipleship, Marriage and Family Counseling, and Spiritual Mentorship. He is the Director of “Lighthouse School of Ministry, for training and equipping lay church members for ministry. He is also gifted in the Apostolic Ministry evidence by Healing, signs and wonders and church planting. He loves preaching of the gospel of the cross of Jesus Christ and resurrection. He has ministered in various continents including North America, Europe and Africa and under the mandate of the Holy Spirit continues to extend his reach to other Nations of the world. He is presently the Senior Pastor of Christ Healing Evangelical Church, (Chapel of Praise) in South Holland, Illinois, where he oversees the local church since its inception in 1993. He is also, the regional overseer for North America and Europe arm of the church, and a member of the supreme council of Christ Healing Evangelical Church, world-wide.
