Thomas Alison (11 October 1860 - 26 August 1931) was a Scottish painter. He became a Provost of Dalkeith.
Life
[edit]His father was Thomas Alison [Snr] (22 March 1818 - 23 October 1897) from Dalkeith, the chief magistrate of the town.[1]
His mother was Margaret Pearson (28 October 1838 - 2 March 1922) from Northfield Farm, Cousland, Cranston, Midlothian.[2] Thomas [Snr] and Margaret married on 2 August 1859 in Cranston.[3]
Thomas Alison was born in Dalkeith, Midlothian on 11 October 1860.

[edit]He died at Rosehill, Eskbank, Dalkeith on 26 August 1931. The value of his estate was £1565, 7 shillings and 3 pence.[4] He was buried in Dalkeith cemetery.
