John Arthur Machray Hay (29 May 1887 - 24 November 1960) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was James Hay (c. 1851 - 6 November 1919), a tailor and clothier from Old Machar, Aberdeenshire.
His mother was Helen Machray (29 May 1861 - 30 December 1940), from Aberdeen. James and Helen married on 20 October 1885 in Aberdeen.
John Arthur Machray Hay was born on 29 May 1887 in Aberdeen.

[edit]He died on 24 November 1960 at Southmoor House, Kingston Bagpuize, Berkshire in England. The value of his estate was £1281, 1 shilling, 9 pence.
His usual address was 30 St. Margaret's Road, Oxford, England.
