Alistair Walker McCheyne (27 May 1918 - 9 December 1981) was a Scottish painter.^[1]^[2]

Life

His father was Martin McCheyne, a company quartermaster. He was a sergeant in the 4th battalion of the Gordon Highlanders.

His mother was Euphemia Walker (born 4 August 1879) from Kamptee in India. Martin and Euphemia married on 27 January 1905 in Perth.

Allister Walker McCheyne was born on 27 May 1918 at Viewfield Place, Crieff Road, Perth.

He died on 9 December 1981 in Edinburgh. He was cremated on 14 December 1981.
