The Traffic Cones is a popular four member Norwegian heavy metal band under Smart Patrol Records.
The group consists of Jeffrey, Steven, Riley, and Death Ray.They made their debut on June 27. 2012 with their single "Don't Knock Me Over (song)".
History
[edit]Pre-debut
[edit]When asked about the history of their band, Jeffrey replied: "Our band just sort of happened. One day it was me singing in the shower, and the next we were doing heavy metal in front of millions." The four musicians all went to Uslrud High School located in their hometown of Oslo, Norway. However, oldest member Death Ray dropped out a week before his senior graduation, being the only member not to have a highschool diploma. Despite this, the members insist that he is indeed the wisest among them.
The band was discovered by representatives from Smart Patrol Records while singing their own compositions on the corner of a street. When asked about how he felt after signing with a label, Death Ray said coolly: "I loved it."
2012: Debut & Don't Knock Me Over
[edit]The new band's song was an instant hit as soon as it was released. Despite not having any promotions, the mysteriousness of the rhythm and lyrics drew many fans in. Within a month, there were almost 2 million self-proclaimed "Coners". The single reached number one on many international music charts and won The Traffic Cones over nine awards.
2013 & 2014: Ultimate Famehood
