History
[edit]AFC Bridgford were formed in December 2002 by Craig Gealy (Current Chairman) and David Bratton who reseigned as manager in 2009 with Craig Gealy tacking the helm. They applied to join the Notts Combination Sunday League in 2003-04 season, getting promoted from Division Three, to two in their first season. They entered a reserve side the following year.
The first team moved over to Saturday league, joining the N.A.A, and the reserve team became AFC Bridgford Sunday. A couple of seasons in competing in the Sunday Combination League it was decided to move the Sunday side over to also compete in the N.A.A after finishing runners up in division 1 in the 2008-2009
Bridgford were beginning to get a reputation of nearly men as they lost in the final of the junior cup in 2006 and getting to the semi final of the County Cup two seasons later along with the runners up spot in 2009 Bridgford needed to break their duck which they finally did on the last day in the 2011-12 season after again losing this time in the final of the N.A.A senior cup. They finally won the trophy they had worked so had for winning the N.A.A Division 1 title.
