Sunnyvale used to be homes to the Ohlone Native Americans until the Spanish settlers entered Sunnyvale. They brought diseases that killed many of the Ohlone. While some of the Ohlone Native Americans died from the diseases, others survived and were forced into Christian faith by the Spanish. [1]

Sunnyvale in 2000s

According to the Bay Area Census, there was a total population of 130,885 people in households and 875 people in quarters in 2000. [2] In 2023, the city has a population of 145,302 residents; however, the city's population is declining at a rate of -6.77% since the 2020 census, which claimed that Sunnyvale had a population of 155,860 residents. [3]
