Hi All. I am an investigative journalist, specializing in political corruption.

I believe that Wikipedia should be a place of complete neutrality, only what can be proven to be true should be posted, and zero political bias should effect the content of articles.

I believe that access to information is a human right, our governments, corporations, elites and institutions should be more transparent, more accountable, with more safeguards for citizens individual freedoms and major protections for the environment.

I believe it is our duty as Wikipedia editors to bring into focus the information that is relevant to conquering humanities greatest current and future challenges - because knowledge is potential power, the more knowledge we put out, the more potential for action, the more likely we are to find solutions.

For far too long humanity has selectively censored its history, in favour of religions, in favour of empires, in favour of nation states, in favour of politicians, in favour of corporations, banks, and "national security" - we have the unique ability to keep all gained knowledge a matter of public record for billions of humans to have unlimited access to in the future.

Just imagine what our descendants will be able to achieve with the unredacted, uncensored sum of all human knowledge... What wonders await us, what problems we could solve, what we could cure, create, what we could change.

It may sound overly optimistic, but I believe that the simple action of maintaining a site like Wikipedia is central to the maintenance of society as we know it.

Thanks for reading.
