Introduction

[edit]

Dribble Delights is a home-based brand developed by a mother who had experience of growing 3 children with the dairy intolerance problem. The product is a result of the troubles faced by Cheryl Ryder, co-founder of the brand, and the creative ideas of her sister in terms of cooking tasty and innovative recipes for dairy-intolerant toddlers. The brand is also an outcome of the limited, tasteless and boring options available in the market in terms of dairy-free products for infants.

At Dribble Delights we aim to put the fun back into food for children who have food allergies! We’re bringing to market a range of Dairy Free baby food and toddler snacks designed for delicate little tummies while being nutritionally good and safe to eat.

Our baby food range is aimed at Stage 2 of the weaning stage with plans to launch 3 core products, giving babies and parents the chance to explore whole new food groups that were previously off limits. Our meals will be from age 10 months onward up to 3 years old. Our range of yummy snacks are aimed specifically at the parties and treats market to allow for that all important treat yet still being healthy, nutritious and safe to eat for children who have a Dairy allergy or intolerance.

Variety, convenience and stress free good food for delicate tummies - these are the aims of Dribble Delights.

Industry Background

[edit]

The ‘free-from’ food market was considered as a boring and tasteless range of products a decade ago. It used to be a niche market which had limited number of products offering. But since past few years, Britain’s ‘free-from’ food market has shown exponential growth. As many as 25mn people, almost half of the UK’s population, believe to be suffering from some kind of food intolerance which has forced manufacturers to help the sufferers and make the industry one of the fastest growing in UK. The industry witnessed a 15% growth in 2012 over its last year’s performance and was valued at £238 million worth and is expected to reach a meteoric figure of £516 million by 2016. The figure for the same was £180mn in 2007.

Why Dribble Delights?

[edit]

Cows Milk Allergy (CMA) is the most common food allergy in babies. The often subtle and varied symptoms of CMA may be why the condition is overlooked. ACT on CMA is a campaign launched by Allergy UK earlier this year, highlighting the symptoms of CMA plus trying to raise awareness of what this means to young children and babies. At Dribble Delights we can relate to their findings but also we have the desire and need to help others in this situation and that’s why Dribble Delights was born!

Team Dribble Delights

[edit]

At Dribble Delights we aim to put fun back into food for children who have food allergies. We have started with being Dairy Free due to Cheryl’s children all being Dairy Intolerant and can easily relate to the parental challenges this brings to family life. Our recipes are also Gluten Free, Wheat Free with most being Egg and Nut Free too. Gillian is the brains behind the recipes while Cheryl takes care of the business side of things such as Marketing, Design and Social Media etc.

Having children who need to be Dairy Free impacts all aspects of a family’s time. money and lifestyle. As a mum of 3 children, ages 4,3 and 1, all of whom are Dairy Intolerant, I understand all of these challenges. Being Dairy Free is something you have to think about every mealtime...every snack time...every visit to a friend’s house...eating out...going to nursery or school. It’s never ending and very challenging.
