Christopher Wilson ( Bronze sculptor and architectural designer)
[edit]Christopher Wilson, born Ashton Under Lyne, Manchester, 16th April 1944, was a bronze sculptor and architectural designer.
Education
He attended Manchester Art College in 1963, studying Foundation Art and Sculpture where he met and worked with fellow students Kevin Godley and Lol Creme who later founded the bands 10cc and Godley and Creme.
From 1964 - 67 he studied Sculpture at Birmingham Art College where Lynn Chadwick was a visiting lecturer. Lynn attended his Degree Show exhibition and from there he was invited to live and work with Lynn Chadwick.
Early career
From 1969 - 1976 Christopher Wilson was the understudy of the sculptor Lynn Chadwick, living with his family at Lypiatt Park, Gloucestershire.
