The Brazilian culture stands at one of the most varied and diverse.[1] Brazil has a population of about 190 million people.[1] Brazilians turn most of their focus towards family structure and the values which are entrenched with that situation, families usually being large, staying close with extended family brings much needed support and help to whoever, whenever.[1] Brazilians way of life is strongly influenced by Indians, Africans, and Portuguese. Portuguese being the most dominant. From them, Brazil has acquired their language, main religion and their customs[2] Citizens are, Brasileiros or Brasileiras, depending on their gender. [3] The country is often divided into five regions.[3] Brazil is one of the most racially diverse nations on earth.[3] One of the most distinctive characteristics of the Brazilian people is their generosity. Despite poverty and difficult circumstances, the Brazilian people are undeterrably optimistic.[4] People take precedence and family is the very center of their culture. Large families are common and most social activities focus on these relationships. Brazilian people adhere to a much slower pace of life.[4]
